Criminal proceedings can have significant collateral consequences for a client’s immigration matter. Immigration law practitioners must be up to speed on the impact of one area on another and work with criminal law practitioners to achieve the best global resolution for their clients. This course will explore the key issues and essential nuances at the intersection of immigration and criminal law on the Canadian and international Jurisdictions, including the USA.
